ON PAUSE — Yoga & Menopause  
ON PAUSE is a full-day yoga workshop for practitioners in perimenopause, menopause, and beyond! This day is dedicated to supporting the body, mind, and spirit during hormonal shifts and providing a space for connection and conversation with others in this phase of life. All levels are welcome.


What to expect:
We’ll start the day with a slow-paced vinyasa yoga sequence with a focus on resilience and adaptability — bones, joints, and pelvic floor take center stage. The posture sequence culminates with low-impact calisthenics for stability and strength. Pranayama follows, with an emphasis on cooling the body and modulating emotional turbulence. We’ll also play a series of conversational games — this is an opportunity to exercise our social muscles and reflect, as a group, on the diversity of experiences we call menopause.
In the afternoon we’ll continue with a restorative posture sequence to stimulate relaxation in the face of day-to-day stress and profound biological shifts. We’ll use props, including bolsters and blankets, to safely hold and support the body. The final posture will segue into a brief yoga nidra with guided imagery. The restorative session will conclude with seated meditation to encourage us to be present with things as they are.
We’ll end the day with a social circle for exchange, both structured and unstructured. This will be a chance to share stories and laughter, to practice listening, and to enjoy quiet in the company of others.

Jessy Layne Tuddenham is a dancer, writer, and performer with over twenty years’ experience performing in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Alongside her career as a performer and performance maker, Jessy has taught yoga and movement arts to people of all ages and abilities in settings ranging from studios to universities to private organizations. Jessy is certified through the International Vasishta Yoga Research Foundation of Kerala, India with Advanced Teacher Training (250 hrs, 2011) and Yoga Therapy (250 hrs, 2012) certificates, and continued studies in yoga and osteopathy with the Medical Yoga Academy of Berlin (modules 1–4, 2015).  jessytuddenham.com

Jennifer Mann is a professional dancer, choreographer, dance, improvisation and yoga teacher. She has had an extensive performing and teaching career, teaching dance for 27 years and yoga for 20 years. She is the co-founder of the weissmann® dance technique and most recently the weissmann® teacher training, and is certified to lead the Group Motion Workshop, an improvisational evening focused on the universal language of movement and collective healing. Jennifer organises international retreats and workshops and is a certified member of the Berufsverband der Yogalehrenden in Deutschland (BDY) and the European Yoga Union (EYU). Jennifer currently teaches pedagogy in the Hatha Yoga of Rishiculture Teacher Training
(200+300 hrs.) and has led teaching skills seminars in the International Shiva Shakti Yoga Teacher Training (500 hrs.). mannasana.de
